Snap Inc. is a global camera and social media company. Its flagship product, Snapchat, boasts over 316 million daily active users and is the 7th most popular app in the US.

The challenge

Executive Assistants at Snap Inc. wanted to improve employee satisfaction and sense of community within a remote team. In addition to celebrating work anniversaries, they needed a simple and seamless process for sending ad hoc gifts for celebration, sympathy, etc. A centralized platform was needed with a team to support gift curation, ordering, shipping and tracking.

The solution

Snap’s Executive Assistants needed a single destination for all their gifts and a way to connect to their HRM, Workday. Giftagram’s curators sourced unique gifts, produced branded merchandise and developed branded packaging and notecards. Giftagram's Workday integration was customized for Snap to automate gifting for employee work anniversaries which includes custom-branded email notifications and recipient landing pages.

Giftagram set up Snap’s custom GiftCenter - their one-stop destination to send, track and manage all of their gifting. From the Snap GiftCenter Dashboard, users can see the status of their entire gifting campaign including thank-you messages from the recipients and key program data.

The GiftCenter is integrated with Snap's Workday to automate employee anniversary gift notifications. Recipients celebrating their work anniversary choose through a selection of gift options and provide their preferred delivery address via a branded landing page.

All gifts are fulfilled and shipped by Giftagram in Snap branded packaging, including a notecard with a custom message.

The results

Upon launching the Snap GiftCenter, we were able to save EA's and Office Managers a considerable amount of time sending gifts. For example, previously if someone wanted to send a milestone gift to an employee they would have to spend time researching gift options, source packaging and coordinate shipping. Now they simply visit their custom GiftCenter, choose a gift from a curated selection and send the gift in less than two minutes.

 

Recipient thank you messages are shared with the sender  which provides a feedback loop to  the gifting experience and helps build a culture in a virtual space.

We have stayed true to Snap's branding and ethos with personal elements such as Bitmojis that are pulled into the recipient experience, and we work with Snap to ensure we are hitting the mark with thoughtful gift curation and custom branded elements.
