Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Laravel developer who is passionate about building great products. As a Laravel (PHP) Developer at Giftagram, Toronto, you will be involved in the definition, design, implementation, and roll out of our backend mobile API and portals that support our app, along with our current backend team. Ideal candidates would have experience with Symphony, Laravel and other PHP frameworks.
Qualifications
3+ Years experience in PHP development, specifically using the Laravel framework and best practices
Worked in an Agile (scrum) work environment
Working experience with MySQL and Redis
Experience with other PHP Frameworks (such as Symfony, Zend, CodeIgniter, etc)
E-commerce background or experience with payment processors preferred
Knowledge of search tools such as ElasticSearch, Solr, SphinxSearch
Experience with source control tools such as GIT
Able to work in Canada — local candidates only please (can work remotely)
Good command of English
Bonus points for
Experience with Flutter and other mobile app technologies
Clear understanding of queueing (AWS SQS)
Knowledge of Apache2 configuration and VirtualHost implementation, Docker experience an asset
DevOps experience is an asset
Experience with Continuous Integration would be a plus
Experience doing BDD / TDD
