In 1884, in the wake of the industrial revolution, the Carrière brothers set out to reinvent the candle-making process and created the first long-burning "night-lights." Crafted from a unique wax formula that allows for a clean and even burn, each candle is produced in Normandy, France, in a range of singular scents inspired by exotic or indigenous oils that once fascinated the botanists and explorers of the 18th century.

Located at 455 Parliament Street, Spruce focuses on carrying hand-made decorative items, glassware, textiles and restored vintage pieces.
