In 1884, in the wake of the industrial revolution, the Carrière brothers set out to reinvent the candle-making process and created the first long-burning "night-lights." Crafted from a unique wax formula that allows for a clean and even burn, each candle is produced in Normandy, France, in a range of singular scents inspired by exotic or indigenous oils that once fascinated the botanists and explorers of the 18th century.
